Proclamation
Pursuant to the power vested in me by Article IV, Section 3 of the Constitution, I hereby convene the Senate of the State of New York in Extraordinary Session, at the Capitol, in the City of Albany, on the second day of July, two thousand nine, at three o’clock P.M. for the purpose of:
- considering legislation I will submit with respect to:
- extending mayoral control of New York City schools, and extending the exemption from the Wicks Law for the School Construction Authority;
- authorizing an additional half percent increase in New York City sales and compensating use taxes;
- implementing the collective bargaining agreement between the City University of New York and its employee organization; and
- acting on gubernatorial nominations with respect to the following positions:
- Non-Voting Union Member, Capital District Transportation Authority; and
- Member, Empire State Plaza Art Commission.
