Common Core Implementation Panel
Overview
In February 2014, then Governor Cuomo announced the formation of the Common Core Implementation Panel. National experts as well as New York State parents, educators, legislators, and business and community leaders made up the Panel.
The Common Core Implementation Panel was charged with conducting an immediate and comprehensive review of the rollout of New York's Common Core standards.
In March 2014, the Panel presented an action plan that included a set of action-focused recommendations to improve the Common Core’s implementation and ensure its success in New York State.
